Euromeister coating ?
I am thinking of buying a set of Euromeisters from our host and I would like a satin finish on the petals . What coating do they come with ? Anodized , Clearcoat or nothing ?
Thanks , Scott . |

The centers are painted, the outer rim is machined aluminum.

Machined aluminum is not smooth, it is grooved so be prepared.

Thanks guys , I was worried that the centers were powder coated or they had some kind of coating that is hard to remove . I'll post some pics when I refinish them .

I stripped and refinished a set of Euromeisters and let me tell you that clear coat was tough to get off! Use the strongest paint stripper you can find.
The results turned out nice though. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I refinished a set a while back. I had a pair of genuine Fuch 7" fronts and bought the 9" Euromeister rears. The machined outer rims didn't match the smooth front rims. I wasn't after a polished look so I ended up bead blasting the the rims on both pairs of wheels. The bead blasting removed the machined grooves and clearcoat on the Euros. I repainted the centers satin black and clear coated the raw aluminum. Turned out pretty good. The Euromeisters were noticeably heavier than the real Fuchs, but that's to be expected for a cast versus forged wheel. Overall I was pleased. The Euromeisters are a nice low cost alternative for expensive 16x9 Fuchs.
