911 3.2 stock DME chip

Hello,
I got my 911 Targa, 1988 USA model, installed with a high performance DME chip. On hot weather the motor sometimes misfires. Using Euro 98 (I live in Spain) mainly resolved the problem, but not completely. So I think the best way is to re-install the original DME chip. But unfortunately I don't have it. Does somebody want to sell his original DME chip? The chip should be labeled #1267355358.

Try the Used Parts Section and type WTB.

You really should check you AFR ( Air Fuel Mixture ) to see why it is missing. Stock chip may just do the same thing if AFR is off.

I had an issue that was similar and more disastrous -- car wouldn't start etc.

Replaced SW chip with known good stock chip = no better

my case it was CHT sensor

Thanks for your replies. I will put a message at the Used Parts Section as well. The DMR switch position is at #4, so I undrstood that AFR is switched on.

If it's a 28 pin chip I can cut you a 89 chip, if it's a 24 pin I can help but you'd need to send the DME to me to have it converted to 28 pin.

But I agree with prior post, check your base mixture.

Who's chip do you currently have?

If it's a 358 chip, it's a 28pin 8K chip, I can create that chip for you. PM me if you need it.

Currently the DME has a Weltmeister 28 pin chip.
