Been to roughly ~130mph indicated in the 3.2 before I ran out of road. New tires, freshly balanced, all that. Felt rock solid, though noisy. In the DD I could fall asleep at that speed.

Many years ago, when my car was still young, I had it up to an indicated 142MPH on a long, straight, and fortunately empty highway. I had a chin spoiler but no rear one (still do), so it was a bit of a handful, and I wasn't spending too much time ogling the speedo.

I think I saw high 130s on the back straight at the Glen in my 3.2 Targa. I would be shocked if these cars(3.2) could hit an honest 140.

Do we need to book the Glen for some high speed testing?

I'm in Germany (Dortmund) right now and took my friend's '82 SC on the Autobahn yesterday. Top was almost 230 km/h (about 135 MPH). He has a front spoiler only, new tires and the car is balanced. It felt pretty solid at that speed, but I would not take a hand off the wheel to take a picture though.
