LM-2 in Miami

Hi All,

Miami isn't really known for its robust DIY community, but to all Miami Pelicans, please prove me wrong! I have been going through some stuff with my car. Getting lots of help from the community (thanks DRACO), but my car may be running a bit rich.

Does anyone around here, even in Lauderdale, have an LM-2 I can use to measure the Air/Fuel mix? I'm happy to drive to anywhere you want.

If not, does anyone know where I can rent one? Checked autoparts stores here, no love.

Thanks!

What exactly are you trying to do with the LM-2, and why did you pick that particular item?

Reason I'm asking is because if you just want an A/F ratio display, then I can lend you /sell you the analog AEM a/f gauge and sensor that I have laying around. You can clamp it to the muffler output and put the gauge in your lap or whatever and get some basic readings while you drive around. Not good for logging, but anything else it's fine.

Hmm

Just a recommendation from people on the forum. It's possible I'm running a little rich, so I wanted to see what my mix was, and adjust accordingly.

Hi Kyngfish,

Our community has grown a bit in recent years, there are some good guys down here.
I'm happy to lend a hand to a fellow Pelican, (not that I'm that useful!) but I agree,
we've got to stick together.

Outstanding!

See Kyng, you can start a POC chapter now

Older LM1 will do just fine but you need a tail pipe sniffer fixture. Screw in bung work great but PITA to remove it when hot.

Hi Andy

Hi Andy, pleasure to meet you. I know Discseven is in Miami as well, let me know if you're ever at any of the local car shows or meetings, I'd love to meet up.

In the meantime, still looking to see where I can rent one of those sensors...
