Carrera 3.2 Gas Pedal Bouncing?

I took my 1986 Carrera 3.2 out tonight for a drive down the highway and I started to feel the throttle pedal moving slightly under my foot.It felt like slight bumping up against my foot. I popped the rubber pedal off of the linkage and the pedal pivot and heim linkage all appear fine. It snaps onto the ball of the rubber pedal fine as well. The car has about 115K on it and is all original injection. The cable seems to be adjusted ok as far as the slack goes. I was wondering if the cruise control could have something to do with it? I 've had several 911s and never experienced it before. Its not a real threatening issue but it never did it before tonight. Thanks for any input.

Do you have some slack on the cruise control cable to the arm of the TB?

If tight if could cause the pedal to be inadvertently tugged on.

I just had my clutch replaced and when I got it back I had the same thing happen. My problem turned out to be a bent throttle rod (wire) under the car by the tranny. I straightened it out and it went away.

I had a similar problem although the issue was only during hard acceleration events.

My transmission mounts were so worn that the deflection of the engine would pull on the throttle linkage, i could feel the pedal pushing back on my foot.

I checked out some stuff and the problem ended up being the cruise control cable. I readjusted it and gave it more slack and the problem is gone. Thank you to all who replied.I plan on driving it to Road America on Sunday now to watch the Indy race.
