Floor mats--correctl spec
I have an 87 Carrera and am looking for floor mats that are identical to the original ones, which are still in my car but badly worn. I know there are lots of places to get quality floor mats. Lloyd's, Porsche, etc. but none seem to truly adhere to the specs of the original, which have vinyl at the front of the driver's side mat to protect against the heels while using the pedals. The floor mats I've seen don't have anything like that but rather have only the carpet surface. Does anyone know where to get mats that completely mirror the specs of the original ones? Thanks in advance.

I'd like to know too.
Lloyd mats aren't even close to the originals in my SC. The vinyl layer is absent. Cocoamats are not original and not my taste. Seems I need to buy a sturdy sewing machine and carpet shears and make my own. I have the patterns already! |

I don't think there's any good answer. I'd love to find original brown sc mats but there's just few or none out there after 30 years. About to order another set of Lloyds fronts as my 12 year old set is getting tired. Not perfectly original but best I've found that is close and not offensive. Cocos are not for me.

What he's looking for are the floor carpet pieces, not floor mats. You can see if there is any stock of the originals by searching under the part number for each piece. If not, I'd try Lakewell in Belgium, to see if they could make you a set.

I recommend checking out the Cocomat site as they have more than the original cocomat material for mats. Besides having the heel protection the OP is seeking, they will also make custom sizes by sending you a paper pattern that you can modify to your liking. Here is an example of their Furstil 6.6 material. Comes in a lot of colors and seems high quality. BTW, I am not affiliated with this company, just a happy customer.

Very helpful everyone. Sounds like I'm looking at the carpets themselves, not a floor mat. So I'll get the Porsche floor mats, keep the carpet as is and just cover up the worn parts with the new mats.
