1984 carrera weight?
How much does a north american 1984 911 3.2 weigh? And does that weight include an empty or full tank of gas? Full wiper container? Full oil?
I ask as it was a tough number to find, but 2750lbs is what my research came up with.

According to the owners manual my 86 weighs 1250 kg or 2760 lbs so your number seems about right. I have no idea if it includes the weight of the fluids though.

Per Car and Driver magazine, Feb 1984 issue, p. 38, the curb weight is given as 2760 lbs.
Per standard definitions, the curb weight is with all fluids topped off, including a full tank of fuel, but without the weight of a driver or passenger (ref. 40CFR86.1803–01 Definitions, and 40CFR86.1832–01). -dw black/black '87 sunroof coupe |

Curb weight (US English) or kerb weight (UK English) is the total weight of a vehicle with standard equipment, all necessary operating consumables such as motor oil, transmission oil, coolant, air conditioning refrigerant, and a full tank of fuel, while not loaded with either passengers or cargo.

I would imagine that A/C, sunroof would affect weight a bit, but a full tank of gas vs near empty will be a 120lb difference (70L @ .75kg/L) - almost like carrying a passenger on the front bumper!
My 84 owners manual lists Curb Weight as 1250kg/2756 lbs, 1300kg/2866lbs for Turbo body option. This is with full fuel, oil.. no mention of options. Our 911s have certainly packed it on since 1965. Life is good.

The article above seems to suggest that a sunroof and ac were standard affair.
Assuming that 2760 is true, my car now sits at around 2300lbs curb weight (using ShakinJoe's spreadsheet).

So 2800 with a full tank. That is what a mustang dyno lists our cars at.

I am pretty sure an 84 is about 70lbs lighter than an 85 or 86. 84 has lighter seats and a few other things I can't recall. Basically an 84 still retains some carry over lighter SC parts. I recall someone posted a list a few years back on here.
I have an 1984 ROW with stock air, sunroof, sport seats that is all stock and weighs 2645lb with quarter tank of gas fwiw. |
