Just read another post on the price of a 911T. I know a guy who has a 69E. The paint is old. The interior of old. The engine has 130K and needs a valve job. He has it in his garage & almost never drives it. I've offered him 3K for it. He's luke warm on selling the car. I can do most of the work on it & have the 2.4L E motor from my '72 I can put in it. What do you guys think? Should I wave the 3 grant in front of his nose?

I've been labeled a "car thief" by my friends, they say I "stole" my SC. Go for it!

I sued a porsche owner that left his car with me for over 5years for possession. I e now own the car and have more in it that you will with this one. This one even runs. What are you waiting for?
Good luck, David Duffield |

You can try - I don't think it's going to work. If the guy isn't looking to sell and doesn't need the money, three grand isn't enough to get him thinking - more than likely there are parts of the car that are worth as much if it's still in running condition. You might have better luck with 5 or 6 thousand, which would likely put him over on something else he wants. Just my 2 cents...
