Alternator Wiring for 1974 911

I am unsure of the wiring connections for a 1974 Alternator on a 911S. There are three wires coming in from the harness, plus the ground to the engine case. One is blue, brown and red. The alternator has a D on one side and a + on the other. No problem with red as this wire is larger and goes on another post. Does the blue or the brown go on the + side.

Thanks
David

I took this picture when I had a friend's motor apart for some reason. It's a 1974 2.7 Euro, not an "S" but probably the same wiring.
