Morning everyone!
Well, I got up at 6am this morning, and removed the fan, housing and alternator. It wasn't a walk in the park, but it's all apart. While I have it apart, I have some questions relating to my work: 1. Is it OK to bead blast the magnesium fan housing? I'd like to remove the old paint, but don't want to harm the magnesium. 2. I've had this strange issue of my turn signal indicators glowing after I start the car. After a while, the glow will go away. I've checked all my grounds, and everything seems to be in order. Is it possible for the turn signal relay to cause something like this? Thanks! ------------------ Michael '78 911SC Euro |

bead blast and clear coat looks good. magnesium darkens quickly when left uncoated.
the TS relay usually causes the glowing light problem. |
