preferred "goo" for installing seals?

I pulled the rear lenses off, and noticed that there is an adhesive goo holding the rubber seals in place. It was apparent that I would need a similar goo to reinstall, as there really isn't much of a channel to hold the rubber part. Anyone have a preferred type/brand of stuff for this application? I'm also assuming I'll need to scrape the old stuff out...

Nostatic, I have used the 3m weatherstrip adhesive. It worked real well for the same thing and it is water proof. There is also a spray on but the tube works best to put it exactly where you want to.

I agree, the 3M stuff in the tube works like a charm. The spray adhesive doesn't work nearly as well (might be good for a headliner redo, but not much else). Just make sure you put it where you want it to stick...because it sure does stick. Good luck

Nathan
