Rear wiper Install?

Hello,
I am going getting ready to install a rear wiper on ElChup. My biggest question is mounting the motor to the decklid hinge. Which holes are used, I have the motor that mounts to the hinge, but the holes don't line up with the motor baseplate. Anybody have some detailed pictures of the mounting? Also the rear grill on some cars have a cutout for the wiper shaft, any idea which years?

For your '84 M/Y.

As I recall, if you do not have an existing
rear wiper, the rear condenser will also have to be replaced
with a compatible rear wiper condenser.

I did this on my '84 something like 6 years back. I'll look to see if I have any pics of the hinge mounting. But I don't recall any problems on my car. Seems like it just bolted up. Can't take new pictures now, I sold the '84 last week.

The rear grills all can be notched for the shaft. If you remove it and look at the underside, the cutout shape is molded in. Use a Dremel or similar and just trim it to the line molded there.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the condenser issue, assuming you still have A/C in it. I did replace mine with the notched condenser.

No A/C, that stuff went to the dump in a giant wad of rust and corrosion. My issue is how the motor base bolts to the hinge...

Figgered it out, used the slots instead of the drilled holes!
