911SC 915 shifter removal question
Im in the process of installing all new bushings.
Going through all my socket sizes, cant find anything that fits the bolts that hold the shifter to the tunnel There is not alot of room around the bolts to fit a socket. Is a special tool needed? Also, I see 3 larger bolts (2 in front, 1 in rear) and then 2 small bolts (in the rear) Am i just removing the 3 larger bolts or do all 5 bolts need to come out? Thanks

Did you remove the seat/s, heater console and peel back the carpet? It will really help.
Those should be ALLEN ( Inserted Hex ( 6 sided ), three larger two smaller for the horizontal portion of the shifter/input. Loosen the smaller ones then remove the 3 larger ones, lift the base up and then remove the two smaller ones as you hold the bracket for the bushing.

Yea removed console and pulled carpet up to expose base of shifter
I got a 1/2 inch socket to fit on the big bolts. They are not ALLEN. Car is a 1983, not sure if that matters. I think I figured it out. Thanks
