Injector test question + fan ?

Question #1

Did a bunch of reading and have not seen this addressed yet. I have the steel fuel lines to the injectors (1981 SC) , I would love to spray pattern test them as I have the rest of the system in soon, but has anyone done this with the steel lines without bending them?

Question #2

Just was wondering what attaches to the skinny "L" bracket on the driver side electric blower fan, can't see anything I'm missing?

Thanks SmileWavy

Why not just remove them and observe each one like the refurb shops do?

Thanks,

They are removed but wanted to use the FD to check flow and pattern in jars, without bending the fuel lines.

You can remove them, stick them into baby bottles and lift the sensor plate to watch the spray pattern and verify they don't leak. The lines will move a fair amount without you having to worry about bending them. You would have to really abuse them to bend them.

I disconnected the lines, pulled the injectors and reconnected the injectors to the lines before putting them in the bottles.

Sure good luck! The skinny L bracket good question. Probably something on the 70's or earlier models I guess.

On mine it's joined to the bigger bit that mounts the heater fan if we are in fact talking about the same thing. Nothing on the skinny bit though. Lots of guys delete that heater fan.
