2 post hoist lifting points

I just got my Rotary 2 post hoist working.

Where do I put the pads to lift a 911? I am going to slit some hockey pucks.

Scott, i guess it's just the later cars that got the factory jack platforms. I wonder when they started doing that...?

I've got got jacking "pads" on each corner of the tub. I'd still use a hockey puck or something to protect the car, though. Must be nice to have the lift installed and operational.

If your Rotary lift has asymmetrical arms like mine, you should lift the rear engine 911's backwards due to the extreme weight bias of the car. In other words, put the engine where the lift designer expected it to be.

I lift mine both directions all the time based on which end I need near the tool box and 99% of the time it won't matter, but worth mentioning for safety's sake .....

I do the same with my Rotary lift, i.e. back in although I doubt a 911 will stress the lift whichever way you go in.
