Post starter question

I have a 69 911t with a 77 2.7s engine, and a 901 transmission. The starter I have been using is off my 2.0 liter t engine, and has finaly failed. Should I, can I, replace this with the starter for the 2.7s engine? I would think the 2.7 starter would be alittle beefier than the 2.0.

The Bosch SR-68 1.5 hp starter is a straight bolt-in replacement for the SR-17 0.8 hp starter. You won't like the price difference, though!!!
