Pics: of Al Reeds Work

About 10 days ago, I asked you all for suggestions on how to have Al Reed finish my wheels (after I gave up after 3 hours on one wheel). Thanks for the suggestions. Here are the pics. Did you know that Al doesn't use the internet and has never actually seen the stuff written about him and his wife (nice lady). Also, Al put in chrome valve stems and dust caps without my asking!!! When I mentioned it, he said (Hugh, I needed to keep you styling, NO charge either) The guys unbelievable. Anyway. here they are. I was so pleased with the work, I pulled over close to Al's and snaped these pictures in a parking lot.

Very nice!!!.....I prefer the look of a P car w/o a bra.....Just like women....But then when you get that first stone chip....You wish the car had been wearing one

You know, I understand about the bra thing, but I look at the front of my Mazda 626 and the paint is just trashed from road chips. I drive in LA and the p-car has a pretty nice paint job that was done by the PO. So I'm kind of torn.

Maybe you can try that clear stick-on stuff, although I know it's pricey. Then again, some of those chips give the car character.

Nice car Hugh!! Loose the bra. Get invicta-shield or whatever the clear 3M stuff is. Trying to keep the back of the bra and the front of your car free of any grit will wear on you after awhile. if neglected, you will be slowly sanding off the paint on the front of your car as you drive.
i recognize that parking lot. and i think that is the bank where i used the ATM to get cash for Al !! max

I just shipped my wheels to Al from North Carolina after speaking with him on the phone. I can't wait to see what he does with them. I'm getting the original factory anodized look as opposed to the polished look Hugh R got. I'll post pictures when I get them back.

P.S. I'm 100% with the lose the bra crowd! Otherwise, your car looks GREAT!!

Pure eye candy. Identical to mine except I had Al polish my lugs.
Is there anyone out there that hasn't been completely satisfied with Al Reed's work? there must be someone who was disgruntled but I haven't heard of it. That's a pretty good track record in the real world. It's rare that I get results that make me feel as if I was undercharged but that's how I felt when I saw my wheels installed on the car.

BTW I've heard that they raised their prices to a more resonable level. If you don't mind me asking, how much were you charged for that nice work?

Someone say Al Reed wheels? Mine also have the clear powdercoat on them so no polishing!

What does Al Reed charge for refinishing a set of 4 wheels? Where is he located? Phone Number?

Al is located in Anaheim, CA. His phone no. is (714) 632-3907. Al gave me the "old" price and asked me not to discuss the pricing. That said, you can look around on this website and find some references to his old pricing. BTW, his new pricing is still pretty cheap for the work that he does.

Well in case you were wondering what Al and his wife look like, here it 'tis. Took this with my camera phone when I picked up my wheels. My satisfaction was clear on my earlier post: Al Reed Rocks

Oh yeah, as you can see, no computer on his desk. Just an appointment book and a receipt book.

He could not believe I was taking his picture with my phone!

Strictly and old fashioned business man (wish there were more of them out there!)
