Question Whatīs the correct color code for a White 73īRS?

Dear Friends,

I would like to know whatīs the correct color code and name for a white 1973 Carrera RS, you know, the ones we see with the red/ blue and sometime green stripes and Carrera logo on the side

I always thought that the color was Grand Prix withe (908), but then I notice that the 908 Grand Prix white is a color from 74 - 96

So Whatīs the correct color code for this car?

Thanks

Code 131, Light Ivory.

There is also a 132 special order Ivory for 73 but not sure it is the RS color. Based on Redbook.

I can't confirm the Light Ivory is the right color either. This vid looks reasonable. AT least it gives you something to sniff around on.

908 Grand Prix White is correct for the 1973 911RS; it was a special option just for the RS in 1973. 908-8-2 is the code found on the badge.
131 Light Ivory was a standard color option as well, 131-8-2 is the code often found on the badge. Less common than the 908 on the 911RS however.

Thanks for that clarification.

I did read recently the "8" refers to the Porsche RS rather than the routine Porsche Factory"9"

2 is Glasurit.

No, it is a different paint facility. First seen in 1972, and generally with 131 light ivory & 022 bahia red plus a few others. The RS was not exclusively 8 since a significant portion were the factory 9.
