Hello Everyone,
My boss and I have an issue that we need help with. We have a 1982 Porsche 911SC with factory cruise control. The problem is no pulse at pins 11 and 12 at the cruise module connector. All other test check out. Pins 11 and 12 trace back to the mileage counter and speedo. How do we test the counter etc., to determine why there is no pulse? Thank you all for your time and we look forward to hearing any solutions that you might have. Please direct all answers to my boss directly at either ggodbout1@live.com or 864-574-0453. His name is Greg. Much Light, Benzgal |

Is your speedo working? There's a sensor on the r/s of the transmission mounted to the side with a black wire attached to it. It's just above the axle it's a small black disc about the size of a silver dollar this is your pulse source for the speedo and your cruise control. Check your connections at the rear of the speedo. 99 times out of a hundred it's the ECU that's bad. But because you don't have a pulse I'll bet the wiring is wrong at the speedo. I would still get the ECU rebuilt regardless.
