Brake Master cylinder

On my 1970 911,I had the old simple master cylinder that attaches behind the pedal.

I have a complete kit pedal, booster , and master from a newer car (1977) I am thinking of installing it and replace the old system .
The installation will require some cutting behind the dash for the newer unit.

My questions are :

Will there be a significant braking improvement ?
Has anyone made this modification before /Cons and pros.

Thanks

I think the main improvement would be not having to stand on the brake anymore. The booster does the work for you. As for decreased stopping distance, I don't know. I would think you would need to upgrade your calipers and rotors. Personally I like the manual brake in my car. It's part of that raw go cart feel and there's more frunk room.

The car will have a 3.2l motor , and 77 calipers/rotors .
It will be mainly street use but may track in the future .

No, the stock m/c is 19.05mm, the boosted one is 20.6mm, the larger m/c bore means that the pedal will have a bit less travel and require a bit more leg, the boosted aspect reduces the leg needed. Generally this is a good thing to a point but the large amount of work needed to get this done for minimal change indicates against it. But it is your time and money

Have you consider an electric brake booster?
