B&B headers distance between L/R side

Can anyone with B&B headers measure the distance between L and R exhaust flanges where they meet the muffler? Please.

Trying to brainstorm with a muffler for my 3.8 (headers coming)

Thanks a lot. F.

I can do this, but be more specific what you want measured.
A photo helps.

Simple line connecting the the L and R bottom bolts at the exhaust flange where headers meet the muffler

Current set up. Very liveable .
B&B headers will need different muffler.

That muffler is perfect for B&Bs. You just need to rearrange the tubing. You will want the muffler more vertical with the inlets at the top and the outlets at the bottom.

I should say I want a different muffler : )

I get 34.75" from center of lower flange bolt - left to right on my B&B headers. Please keep us posted on your project, I am very interested. I currently have a magnaflow (which sounds awesome) but like you I also found an Eberspacher off of an S. Good news is inlet pipes and flanges are same size, bad news as you know is same measurement on 997 is ~ 37.5", so you might need to fab. I am planning on rotating the muffler around, hoping to fabricate an RS style muffler with straight pipes exiting from round areas in center of muffler, that can be capped off. Then a single side out in stock position. Loud when I want it, capped off for the neighbors

The distance from bolt to bolt is about 36.75"
This was not an exact measurement but pretty close.

Thank you for the data.

This will be a winter project. Right now I'm gathering parts.

I will be building 2 separate mufflers for the headers. Loud and louder.;)

If I can get my hands on a cheap gt3 can I'll do that too.

More to come
