help decoding my engine #6292249

i have a project car that has the engine # 6292249 and i'm having trouble figuring out if it had weber carbs or mechanical injection. from what i found it's from a 1969 911E (i think).

can anyone help confirm?

Yes^^.

However, number 629XXXX can also refer to a 79 SC engine. Check the engine number. A 69 will have a 901/xx number and a 79 will have a 930/xx number.

If you're referring to my post, you can confirm your engine number by simply reading it--located on the flat portion of the case, just to the right of the vertical stamping for the serial number.

In the pic below, the green arrow points to the location of the serial number, and the red arrow points to the location of the engine type number.

If you want to confirm the possibility that the 629xxx could be a 69 or 79, you can reference this site:
