Tensioner oil line part number?
Does anyone have the part number(s) for the passenger side tensioner oil line on an updated 82 SC? I think it may actualy be the original line that was tapped into for the tensioner.
It looks like a short line with a small rubber section and attachments to 2 points on the engine (below the pressure sending unit? and at the corner of the valve cover). It also has a tee in it where the line to the chain tensioner attaches. Thanks in advance, Olivier

Or, you can just look in our catalog, which has just about every part you can find on the 911:

Here's a quick tangent question regarding that oil line.
Can you guys get your 4,5,6 intake valve cover off without loosening and moving that oil line connection? Mine is close but no cigar. Seems like they would have designed a little more bend in that line to sort of wrap around the valve cover instead of going over the corner of it. Thoughts? JA

JA, I don't remember having any problems when I last adjusted my valves. I honestly never even noticed the lines at the time. Might be a slight design change in the line or the way it was installed. You may be able to move it very carefully to get the cover by if it is that close. I think I did pull the A/C compressor, if that made the difference.
Thanks, Wayne. I did find those great pictures in the catalog after posting, and I am putting together a small order now. Olivier

You can loosen it, then move it slightly, and then retighten it. When it's installed, it should be installed so that it doesn't get in the way of the valve cover...
