Bead Blasting Front Struts

The following link goes to an auction for a pair of Boge strut housings that have been bead blasted

Is the fact they blasted the machined surface of the spindle a problem?
I have always beem meticulous in the taping/covering these areas prior to blasting in the past.

Thanks

If they were truely blasted with glass beads, there would be no problem, IMHO. Sandblasting would not do the spindle threads any good, that I'm sure of. While I agree that blasting the machined surfaces of the spindles was unecessary, it most likely didn't do any harm either.
