Engine Serial Number Help
I recently purchased a 71 911T with the engine in pieces. The engine number I am having trouble finding the year to see if it is original or not. Any help would be appreciated.

That's an early sandcastle case, I hope you have the intermediate shaft for it. The 901/06 as I recall is for 1968 911L, early production late 1967.
The first sentence is true, the second one is on memory. Bruce |

Engine looks to be from a 67 coupe. The serial number puts the engine as the 65th out of 190 produced. 901/06 came into production in late 66 .

Which number is the serial number? I have Wayne's book on engines, but could not figure out which number was the correct one.
Thank you for the help. |
