Non ugly non fake vintage bluetooth headunits?

I was quite proud of myself for finding this 2004 era Nakamichi which sounds great and looks 80's without being fake-retro. Has amber, white or red illumination options and generally plays well with my car's otherwise stock interior.

I'm now looking for a bluetooth capable version of same. There are plenty of well rated units out there but they're all shiny, silly, teenage etc. Anyone have a nice sober, matte, option for a grown man with an 80's 911?

Rest of the sound system is stock speakers (4) with slightly better drop-in replacements so something at a reasonable price is what I'm after...

I have an Alpine 149BT that I really like and don't think is overtly flashly. Does Bluetooth and has a USB port for music on a 128gb key which is nice, also does sat radio and HD if you want it.

r-nn does your nak have an auxiliary input? (preferably using rca cables from behind) -- if so, it's pretty easy to add bluetooth as another input -- see, e.g.http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/redirect?link_code=ur2&camp=1789&tag=wwwpelicanpar-20&creative=9325&path=https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00G57CWZ8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3M9LKZ5UKEHJ2

I've had the latter one for about a year and I'm very happy with it.

if the vintage head unit has either an auxiliary input OR the ability to control an external cd changer, you should be able to use the external bluetooth receiver I referenced above to feed it audio via bluetooth -- OR, you can leave the vintage/original radio in place and feed the bluetooth receiver's signal directly to a hidden (mine's under the passenger seat) power amp (bypassing the vintage radio altogether) -- if you want to use the radio too, you can use a switch to direct either the radio or bluetooth receiver's signal to the power amp.

Thanks guys.

The Nakamichi is going elsewhere so I need a new solution.

The Kienzle is very nice looking but Euro only?

This thread has more on hooking up those Kienzle head units. I think you can get them on Amazon.

^^^^^ How about one of these?

Not affiliated in any way. Pricey but can be retrofitted to earlier 911's.

If you find an older head unit that you like that happens to have a cassette, the Bluetooth cassette adapters (wireless) work very well, and are only about $23

I put one of these in my 83SC. Matte black and white numerals with orange backit lcd looks very period appropriate.

Google: Continental Radio/USB MP3/WMA/Bluetooth 12 Volt

It's the first hit. Looks like this. Not my car, but is equally at home in my 83sc. Bluetooth works great.

VDO makes that continental radio, I believe.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vdo-12-Volt-Bluetooth-Radio-TR712UB-Schwarz-Blaues-Display/dp/B00XCEUCWW

Its a nice head unit, and doesnt have all the black chrome and shiny buttons, looks as close to period as you can get.

Clarion makes on too that isnt terrible:
