Help - Problem Fitting Elephant Finned Line around Front Jack Pad

Hi all. I'm hoping to get some help from some of you who have installed Elephant Racing Finned Oil Lines on 1987+ Carrera's that have the jack pads integral to the body.

I spent about 4 hrs yesterday morning fighting my new finned oil lines, and finally had to give up due to some fitment issues. Apparently the supply line (the inside one that doesn’t bend around the rear jack receiver) is not properly designed for the later model cars (mine is an 88) that have the “jack feet”. These first two photos are the original Porsche line before I removed it. Notice that it has a series of compound bends that bend the line up and around the jack foot.

The Elephant Finned Lines don't have this feature. They have a very slight bend but it isn’t close to being enough to allow the line to sit where it needs to sit to attach the front most of the 3 clips that run along the rocker, while allowing it to clear the jack foot. See photos....

Consequently the line either sits too far out or too far down, and won’t allow attachment of the brackets or consequently attachment of the rocker panel. Note that the same bolts hold the rocker panel that hold the 3 clamps. I contacted Chuck with ER about this, and his reply was:

The issue as you have identified is the jack pad. The lines are really designed for the earlier cars without the pad. We've had a number of customers do the install on the '87+ cars and two approaches have been taken.

1 - remove the jack pad
2 - bend the line a bit more to get around the pad. the lines are brass and do bend easily.

Obviously I'm not going to remove the jack pad. I guess I'll try to remove the line and try to bend it to get it to work. Is there anybody who has done this and perhaps could give me some pointers or pictures of what you did and if you were successful?

Thanks in advance.
