Kahtec 3rd Brake Light Blinking Smart Flashing lights

Does anybody have an experience with Kahtec Blinking Stop Smart Flashing lights?

Different options to choose from but looks like the Blinking Smart Stop (Delay Version) as described below is good option since blinking is limited to the 3rd brake light as opposed to other options where all shall blink (main rear lights and 3rd brake lights)

"The Delay Version was designed for those drivers who might not want to continuously flash their third brake light when caught in bumper to bumper traffic. Once you have applied your brakes for the first time causing your third brake light to flash and then turn solid, touching your brakes again within 8 seconds will cause your third brake light to turn on normally without flashing. In other words, you must have your foot off the brakes for more than 8 seconds before the Blinking Smart Stop will reset and cause your third brake light to flash again."

Porsche Crest

You know, I was just thinking about this during the last F1 race. They have those plinking rear lights that are VERY bright. If they could make one of these in the old rear fog light housing, I'd be all over it. Really feel the need for that 3rd brake light.
Too many distracted drivers out there.

Did you install it?

JQ,
I was following a cop car the other day that had this feature...got me searching Pelican, found this thread. I think it's a great addition, what with the yahoos who tailgate as if they have carbon fiber brakes....

Kahtec 3rd Brake Light Blinking Smart Flashing lights

I have that installed. For whatever reason it just stopped working (blinking) entirely after a few weeks. The brake light works but no more blinking.

Did they honor their 90-day warranty?

I know this is resurrecting an old thread, but JQ911 is the module still holding up? I think this is a great idea and would like to use it. Also, where did you install the module itself?

Yes, it is still working. The only thing not holding up is the double sided tape on the module that is suppose to stick at the back housing of the 3rd brake light. lol

Here is another option for a flashing 3rd brake light. I wasn't keen on the Kahtec flasher, and some of the others that did quick flashes followed by slower flashes. I felt that was too much, and at the same time i wanted to be noticed, i don't want the flashing to be obnoxious.

I found this unit https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FADDOL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 which is totally programmable with different # of flashes, rates of flashing, different delays, and also the amount of flashing intensity.

The unit is super tiny, and fits in our 3rd brake light housing.

This is the bulb i purchased.

Here it is in action. 2 flashes followed by steady on. Delay set for 3 seconds, then 5, 10, 20 seconds that it doesn't keep flashing the guy already stopped behind me at the light.
