Carrara oil cooler threads
Bought this oil cooler from this site from a guy in Boston. A small section of hose and the nut were
Still attached. My mechanic had to cut (dremal) off the nuts as I could not get them to move. Are these threads salvageable? I brought the cooler to a few machine shops and they say probably not salvageable. Any ideas? ![]() Thanks. |

With the correct metric dye-maybe.
I would take the cooler to a machine/weld shop and have the fitting replaced. Best, Gerry

Auxiliary thermostat threads......

Test fit the 36-mm nut with a cone shaped end compression fitting (tube piece). If the compression fitting sits tight and snuged, it is doing the sealing. A compression test will show or reveal any leak at the joint. Tony |
