fan pulley spacer for 17mm Alternator shaft
My alt died, so I went with an IR alternator. Now that the shaft threads have gone from 16 mm to 17mm, the spacer under the pulley nut doesn't fit the shaft....I ordered the valeo 17 mm nut and washer kit, but it didn't come with the larger spacer.
I didn't see one listed in the parts section ![]() Spacer that doesn't fit over shaft: ![]() What are my choices? Dremel it larger? This has to something everyone that has upgraded from external regulated alt to internal regulated has had to deal with, right? thanks, Paul |

Die grinder, dremel, yup. A non-smop pump pulley is a whole lot easier to deal with when trying to keep the shims in place under that cupped spacer.

Pelican tells you, in very small print, that a new washer is required. When I ordered the new alternator I didn't pay attention, so I enlarged my old spacer washer with a round file.
