If I try to set my clutch adjustment to the handbook specs eg. 1.2mm gap between actuating lever and the lever attached to the horse shoe Spring followed by 1mm gap after cable adjusted, the clutch pedal is to hard to push down. I can only get a correctly operating clutch via having the horse shoe lever pushing hard on the actuating lever by a negative 8mm. The clutch was replaced about 12months ago by myself and having the same issue. I've got a whirring noise that's starts once the cars up to running temp that I'm trying to eliminate ( suspecting clutch throw out fork or bearing). Horse shoe Spring has not been replaced, however, can see that a new one would make any difference.

Drive around and check again, it requires several tries to make sure it is within spec. I know very annoying.
