Can someone please decode these 911 case numbers for me. They are 911/92 and *6140996* Thanks in advance John Szabo

Jim what signifies it is a ROW engine. And do you know the advantage of these over a US spec.one.Thanks for your prompt response and also your service as a firefighter John

The second digit, "1", was assigned only to non-USA cars. US imports carried a "3" in that position. The engine type, 911/2 was also for non-USA cars. US imports had 911/93 type numbers.
614xxxx engines were rated at 150 hp/5700 rpm. 634xxxx engines were rated at 175 hp/5800 rpm. Don't know any advantage of the ROW over US except for the lack of emission controls.
