Mismatched webers
I am trying to put a running 3.0 together while I rebuild another one. I have an old set of webers that I have had for many years. I have the proper manifold for the 3.0, linkage, filters and hats. Problem, the webers are a 40IDA3C and a 40IDTP13C1. These were taken off of a running car. a 2.7 with internal problems. I also have a box full of weber parts, chokes, jets etc. I do not need a smooth idling garage queen but can I get it to run decently with mismatched webers. The shafts are tight and smooth, and they are clean.

IDA & IDTP Webers have very different progression circuit patterns. Once on the main circuit then all is OK.
It would be difficult to trouble-shoot progression jetting between the two carbs. If you did install them then the IDA would want 60 idle jets and the IDTP would want the same but I would recommend modifying it to replace the idle air correction jets with some 100s as a start. This is a modification and jets are not replaceable without modification. I do offer help in the form of a kit but can provide info off line. You may also suffer from some dried debris in the fuel gallery supplying the idle jets...not a show stopper but something to be aware of.
