battery terminal fuse block

I have added all the extra recommend fuses for my year car(88) ie headlight switch, condenser fan etc. in trying to clean up those extra wires that come off the positive terminal , I purchased a Blue sea systems st blade terminal mount fuse block. most everything is fused at the other end, but I see in my nightmares one of those wires coming off the Pos battery terminal shorting and then I have a burnt Porsche story. I think I am ok fusing the ones for flashers, parking lights headlights, amp/sub. but my question is that big sucker that goes to the starter relay. If I put it on a 25A fuse will it laugh at me and blow? can I get away with fusing it at even less then 25A? or is that wire going to have to stay directly attached to the Positive battery terminal?
