UhOh

Porsche 911 2 Door Sport Coupe | eBay

Beautiful rare 1965 Porsche 911 VIN 300870. The previous owner of this car had the 1971 2.2L 911T motor #6105690 and carburetors rebuilt by well known Porsche engine builders Motor Meister out of Downey CA. There are extensive detailed receipts totaling over $15k back in 2009 when the motor was rebuilt. Over the years the previous owner restored the undercarriage, suspension and brakes. He also purchased a rebuilt transmission from Motor Meister. The motor and transmission were recently installed for the purpose of selling this car. The motor has the break-in oil in it and needs to be properly broken in. I have only driven this car around the block to ensure the transmission shifts in every gear with no issues. All of the electrical systems for this car need restoration. The motor is temporarly wired to run so that we can move it around. This car runs and drives but NEEDS restoration and all systems checked before regular use. The motor runs strong and the transmission shifts as it should. The floors are solid with no signs of rust. The driver's door and engine lid have 870 stamped in them. The dash has 300870 stamped on it. There is what appears to be a factory Porsche sunroof but according to the provided Certificate of Authenticity there is no mention of a sunroof for this car. The speedometer/odometer works properly but the other gauges are not connected at this time due to the electrical system needing restoration. There are 2 boxes of parts, hardware and rubber seals that will be provided with the sale of this car (see pics.). This is a great example with it's original quarter panels (no flares) for a quality restoration of a very desirable early 911 or restore the essentials and drive it with the patina it has.

Spent money in some pretty odd ways on that car. Wonder how it runs with the MM engine and trans overhaul?

"Overhauled" in '09, still has break-in oil, wonder why?
"Needs to be properly broken in"
Coming from MM, the parts probably already "broken in", hundreds of thousands of miles ago.....
