Gentlemen, start your karts! Bay Area kart outing

How many Pelican Heads in the Bay Area would be interested in attending an indoor karting event at LeMans Karting in Fremont, CA on February 15th or 16th?

If we were a small group and just had to pay the "walk up" rates, it costs $16 per 10 minute session. 3 or 4 of these is enough to wear you (well, me at least) out, so count on sinking $60 or so.
If there are enough of us interested, perhaps we could rent the track for a half hour or so just for our own group and get a special rate.

The karts are awesome and the track is great. There is ample room for passing and there is computer timing for every single lap, so the bench racing gets pretty interesting!

If you've never karted before, you're in for a big treat. It really rewards good driving technique and punishes raw aggression, so study the line carefully if you want bragging rights at the end of the day.

Who's interested? If we have enough people, I'll organize it.

Dean

Sorry Kevin, I wasn't online over the weekend to see the discussion. I just don't know any other way to get the attention of all the people who are on THIS forum that I'd like to meet in person.

Sorry to cause so much trouble...

Dean

Well, considering there will be a pile of 911's in the parking lot, and I will bring a few carbon-coated pistons for everyone to ooh-and-ahh over, it certainly applies as both technical and 911.

So there.

In other words, mark me down as interested.

Tom
(wondering how many karts will have SCWDP stickers on them by the end of the evening)

Blu, you think that's a haul, it's almost 200 miles for me . But it will be worth it to finally be on the track with Mr. Elephant Racing himself, even if it is only a kart track .
