Period correct:
My preference: ![]() Both, unfortunately, are pricey. But if you go the vintage route, there are some aftermarket reproductions available.

The period-correct ones belong to R Gruppe founder Cris Huergas, I'm pretty sure. Do a search on 'interior' (have it search in the subject line only), and you should see a lot of options.
Original early sport seats are very expensive.

The fixed shell seats are lighter, more supportive and almost always include a crotch strap grommet. They inhibit access to the rear, though, but if you're going with full restraints, you are going to need a harness bar or roll bar there anyway, right? I think Jack's leather covered buckets are sweet. You couldn't do much better than that, I don't think, unless you could get some of those GT-2 seats that are going for $3K and up. I used some cheap Corbeau Forzas because they fit a large guy like me well and can be easily adapted for low seating positions like mine, and well, because I'm CHEAP! The Tweed River is in Scotland, after all (OK, there's one in Australia, too, but the one in Scotland is the first). TT

The Recaro sport seat like the one on the passenger side in Jack's post of Chris's car is the model that was used in the RS Touring. The RS lightweight however used a Recaro bucket style with a thumbscrew adjustment for the back tilt. It however didn't fold forward for rear access. A company called Bielstein in Germany makes a similar period look seat. They are lightweight too. I'm getting a pair for my project car. Here's a foto.
