14 pin connector help
I cannot for the life of me get the male side (car side) of the 14 pin connector snapped into its holder in the fuse holder bracket. Is there a trick to this ? Seems pretty straight forward, but i've tried every which way.... straight in, bottom in first, top in first... nothing. I've pressed as hard as i can, and next step i'm sure will break it.
Is this common ? I'm going to try heat in hopes of softening the holder some.... Also, anyone have a wiring diagram for at '87 for this connector ? The search only netted me diagrams for 70's cars. Thanks guys.....

It's not pin to pin connection i'm trying to make. It's the harness into the holder. The body of the connector needs to snap into a holder.

the wires have to be routed, set down all tidy like in the harness case in a specific order to get it all to fit and snap shut.

The heat gun made it flexible and that allowed the connector to click in place.

Glad to hear you got it together,
If you're still looking for a wiring diagram, I just downloaded one from a different thread. It's for a 88 Turbo but I downloaded it to use on my 74 911 - it's looks pretty close except for a few details, you're should be even closer. Try this link - there are several diagrams of the 14 pin connector - one for a 78 Turbo and one for a 88 Turbo, maybe more. https://forums.pelicanparts.com/911-930-turbo-super-charging-forum/601232-engine-wiring-harness.html Good luck Last edited by l_turn9; 08-13-2019 at 02:11 PM..
