I recently purchased a 85 Carrera Euro with an aftermarket exhaust and Steve Wong chip. I believe the exhaust is BBI or Dansk, I will need to look at the receipt again later. It does have SSI heat exchangers though, if that matters.
Basically for the past couple months the car would start cold and just need a slight "rev" to give itself gas (not sure the technical term) one time and then maintain the 800rpm idle. It would never sputter or need to rev more than that and not sure if the white-ish exhaust color is normal. It does go away after its warm though. I try to drive it often but it will sit for 8-9 days at a time and then I drive it 4 days in a row appx 90 miles total. This video was taken after sitting overnight outside after using it for 2 days in a row. The temp is around 45 degrees outside. Thanks in advance for all the help. If this is all normal or nothing to be overly concerned about then great. This is my first air-cooled Porsche and I really enjoy driving it.

Noyce. She sounds good after around 0:50.
Is it starting to get chilly outside? (Edit - oops, you said 45 - yup) Sometimes the temp change reveals little issues like this. I would suggest searching here for cleaning the Idle Control Valve (ICV). It does the job alright, but sometimes sticks if it gets gummy inside, and is an easy job. And yes, the white smoke interval is ok

Possible Cylinder head temp sensor failure.

Sounds like it was popping back in the intake a little too. Check for air leaks..the gaskets on the intake runners like to blow out.

UPDATE:
Last night I took out the ICV, I searched and searched but I could not find a "walkthrough" only the same questions I had. So I used some carb PCV cleaner I found in the cabinet and sprayed it into both ends, shook it up and down numerous times until I felt the pin was free enough and put it back into the car. I was afraid to use WD40 or lithium spray which is all I had for lube. This morning was the first real test 40deg and the revs did bounce up one time and maintain 1k RPM, it never fell back down or stumble so I think it worked. Thanks for the quick replies everyone!

Great to hear. Last November I started to experience a idle bounce (850 to 1200), not at start up but later in the drive, for example letting off gas, going to neutral and coasting to stop sign/light. I too removed the ICV and gave it a good cleaning with carb cleaner and q-tips. Did the trick

Outstanding!
Yeap, at those low temps the gunk i the ICV will make the internals stiff until it warms up. I would still check the OHMS on the CHTS just to be sure mixture is doing it's job via CHTS.
