Is my Air Box Shot??

Is there some method short of removing the airbox to determine the condition of the Airbox??

Hook up a cleaned out vacuume in reverse to the intake snorkle and tape it up tight! Turn it on and spray soapy water all over the airbox and intake!

Matt vage, general requests usually result in the same response. try to be more specific on what you are doing, what you want, symptoms your having, etc. it's hard enough to troubleshoot over the internet but a clear picture would help as well as pictures.
as far as looking for leaks, pressurization with smoke is a good choice, look around the injectors as this is known source of leaks. Also, pop off valve sometimes leaks. the split line is also a trouble source along with all the hoses and lines. The list is pretty long

James, I agree with you 100% the more information the better. A photo of the airbox would not have shown anything and my question was pretty straightforward. Either your airbox leaks or it doesn't and I simply wanted to know how to check it for leaks without dropping the engine to remove said airbox. I received a few very good responses including your own, thank you.

I still don't understand Geronimo's response.

Matt

pretty easy to pull the entire CIS with a partial engine drop...gives you plenty of extra room. can completely rebuild the CIS rubber parts (hoses and boots) and reinstall...couple of the nuts on the runners can be a pain to get at and retorque, but all manageable...recommend doing it the same time you need and oil change...as it is best to disconnect the oil hose from the tank to prevent stretching/breaking it when you are lowering the engine.
