Door Jam switch.

second question of the day.. thanks for the help Gents. I purchased this switch to replace the one in the door jam. short wire, I am anticipating a PITA. How should I crimp this, what sort of tool, I have a bunch of crimper things. also should I solder it also or just rely on the crimp. thanks

It's just a ground wire so any solid crimp will do.

Hint.

And be very-very-very careful to not drop the wire into
the body.

AKA-The abyss.......

Best,

Tie a safety string to the wire before you disassemble.

And, pull the fuse, or, disconnect the battery.

That wire is always hot.
