Cool Porsche Porn - revisited

Found these today, about 10 miles from my house! Look closely at the top of the box on the right. Pick'em up tomorrow

Nice get, Jim. They look gorgeous!

Now, you're not going to put those on your car, are you? They are religious relics, and need a shrine.

After you pick 'em up, I'd really like to know who had them. I think I have an idea, but will be interested to hear from you.

I am afraid to ask what a set of NOS 911R wheels cost.

Me too! Fortunately, they've just not seen much use. The pair cost me less than my sport seats!

Here's what she'll look like. The rears, early sixes, will get moved to the front. The R's in the back with lots 'o rubber!

In case you're wondering, I repainted it green for this picture.

I am bit naive here... these are Deep Fuchs wheels? What makes them special? Apparently forged, what size are they?

Actually, Greg (rs911t) got them. Greg was having a little fun yesterday, showing a pic of my wife's aubergine 73E taken at his house, and claiming that he repainted his 72T 2.8L. Who could blame him!!!

We have regular 7x15's on the back of our E. Now, maybe if Greg isn't looking...

Nice wheels!!! I just got a call from a VW friend of mine last week who bought a pair of 5.5's and a pair of 7R wheels from the attic of a little import shop for approx $600 for the entire set. Yes, he paid $300 for a pair of 7R wheels. I hate him=) (especially since he wont sell me the R wheels)

Emission, of course all Fuchs are forged, and the 911R wheels are special, very limited production wheels with a special offset to fit about the widest wheel on an early non-flared car that can be fit. They are usually very expensive, I think in the $750-$1000 per wheel price range. I could be off some on that, but I am at least sure that they are +$500 and up to nearly $1K

Now it makes sense. Factory quality, OEM part, with the correct offset - and wide. Thanks.

Question for the group. Does anyone else make 15 X 7 wheels with the 911R off set that would fit early 911s?

Also, when are we going to see some repro 911R wheels?
