Show me your Veteran owned or service member imported Porsche!
Happy Veterans Day! I want to thank all active duty and Vets that make and made this democracy possible.
Show us your Vet owned or imported P-car! Especially if it was imported by a service member, such as my first Porsche, a grey market 930.... Also, I would be interested if your state issued Vet specific tags like the blue ones in South Carolina, and how they look on your p-car. Here's mine: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Not a Porsche but.... In 1965 my father graduated from medical school with two young kids. He inherited a little money from his grandfather so be bought a special 1965 Mustang. Ivy Green with a black roof, and white pony interior. His draft board reminded him that even with a new degree and 2 young kids he had a low draft number. He promptly walked in and signed up. US Army 1965 to 1971. Not great years to serve. We missed him a lot.
Just before he retired, I started looking for a copy of his car, just going off my memory at a 6 year old having last seen the car in 1970. I found a decently restored one that was close. I flew to Charlotte to see and buy the car. Trucked it back to my home. Installed the black roof, white interior, power steering, modern AC. My mom and I gave it to him for his retirement in 2014. Thanks for your service Dad, and to all of our great Americans who have served. ![]()
