need help removing back seat
I am having problems removing the flathead screw that the back seat rest is attached to.
It is pretty rusted looking... any suggestions on how to loosen this screw? |

PB Blaster and an impact driver I bought from Amazon for about $20 got mine out.

I think I put the biggest screwdriver with a square grip I had in there, then I put a giant pair of vice grips on the square grip and then a cheater bar on the top grip and popped it loose.

I'm with SpyderMike on this...I used Kroil, an impact driver, and a BFH.

Use a wood chisel as a screwdriver. Get one a wide as the slot in the screw. It will transfer the torque better.

OK.. after trying to figure it out I went with a large washer held on with a pair of pliers. This gave me enough grip and enough area within the screw to turn it enough to break it loose and unscrew the rest of the way with a screwdriver.
