Wow Mick, that's really lousy - much more difficult to fix since there looks to be a crease and paint chipped off. If it wasn't for that, a paint-less dent guy I'm familiar with could probably do his thing to it, given access to the underside, like you mentioned, but that damage is obviously going to require paintwork to fix.

So it appears the transport company banged the top of the car against something on the bottom side of a car above it? Was your car in that kind of trailer? Typical that the person who did the damage kept quiet about it.

this happens more and more - not just to autos, but everything else. my company ships items all of the time. no one gives a crap and no one takes responsibility anymore. it seems that "thats good enough" is the motto of most people, which doesn't work for me at all. I own a custom manufacturing business and we try to do mostly high-end quality work. So "just good enough" and "no one will see that" doesn't even come close to working here.

america is getting more ignorant as each generation comes of age. if you need proof - look up how the US ranks in education. should be first - I don't even think we are in the top 20!

These guys are difficult at best to get them to acknowledge and then take care of damage they did when it is not reported immediately and before you sign off on receiving the car. I would call your insurance company and advise them of what happened and let them fight this battle if the shipper has not accepted responsibility and provided their insurance company info with in 24 hours of you calling and alerting them to the problem. Don't let them drag it out because the "boss is off today", on vacation, sick, out of the state, etc." Sorry and good luck.
