Silver Paint "936" Code Anyone?
My car was painted at somepoint in it's life, and according to the paint tag on the driver's door post, it is silver matallic clearcoat (so says paintscratch.com). What are the other numbers on the tag? And can someone post a picture of their car with the same color, please?

My Porche manual shows 936 for 1976 as metallic colour: Silver
The other digits are: place of application 9 = Porsche Company Paint manufacturer: 2 = Glasurit, not sure about 3 Last edited by nick-moss; 01-10-2003 at 04:15 AM.. |

Thanks, Nick.
Anyone have a picture of their car in that color? This is a "platinum" repaint on a car currently on Ebay. I like the color, but would like to see the difference between it and the original silver. |

Hi:
My 85 is Metallic silver 936...aka "S7". Very much like souk's and nick moss' picture color. ---Wil Ferch

Will, Do you know what the extensions on my color tag are? And, do you have a picture of your car? The more samples, the better.
Nice thanks for the pictures. That silver on looks familiar, like I have seen it before. Thanks guys. |

Bill, I've always admired you car for the color and Ruf look. Thanks
I think my mind is made up. With "936" being my original color I absolute have to have that silver. Now where did I hide that pot of gold? I don't know when, but I'll be sure to post the new look when it is completed. Thanks all. |
