Ducktail FG- struts or NO struts

I am in the process of fitting a FG ducktail,
Question : do I connect the 2 gas struts? Or only one?

Do the struts put pressure and flex the FG?

Thanks

I had to take the one strut off my 87. It pushed too hard on the relatively light/flimsy ducktail when down making it look wonky. Now use my custom bamboo prop stick.
When up it really sagged on the side not "strutted". Maybe would be fine on a two strut car but mine only has strut mounting points on the drivers side.

Thanks for the comments.

I have a 2 strut car and when FG DUCK is closed no problem, or stress.

When I pull the lever to open the engine lid - it shoots up like an ejector seat 😳😳

When I replace my Carrera tail for the Duck tail, I had just got new struts. However when I put them on the duck it made it pop out super fast. So I got the old struts that couldn't lift the Carrera tail but they are good to lift the Duck nice and soft and hold it in place. Using one strut will do the same if it is not really shot.
