Plaid interiors!
I have a friend looking at buying a early SC with plaid seats and I have to say they look terrific! I sort of remember back in the day that there were quite a few P-cars with plaid interiors, but sure don't see many anymore.
Wonder if those with plaid interiors would mind sharing some pictures? Thanks!

I was at the Porsche factory in 77 and from what I can remember, an astonishing amount of 911's seemed to be rolling off the assembly line with plaid type elements in their interiors. The good news is that one shouldn't be too hard to find. Cheers

If you wonder what your car would look like with plaid or Tartan upholstery, you can do a mock-up by downloading a sample pattern, printing it out on 11" x 17" paper and then taping and trimming to fit. Here is my Venetian Blue 87 Carrera with a Tartan pattern lifted from Scottish Tartans, Fabrics and Apparel by The Scottish Weaver

Had these made awhile back. Tried to sell them, but no deals were finalized. Decided to install them in the '87. Even though they won't match the rears, I think they will still work.

^^^ why not? I would, definitely! Looks cool.
Does the aftermarket do specific tartans by request? I would consider doing something in my family heritage, example MacFarlane Tartan | Tartans | Clan MacFarlane |
