Please help! Axle problem

I have a 1982 911SC and putting in a 996 LSD Transmission, the problem I am having is that the stock SC transaxle is a different size then the trans hub for the 996. I tried to find someone who would change the stock axle but no luck. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

I don't mean to be snarky, but if you are really attempting to swap a 996 transmission into an '82 911 SC, my guess is that working out the CV joints and axles is going to be the least of your worries...

For reasons that should be fairly obvious, this is not a straight-up swap.

I think we need more information... maybe I misread the description of your project & question?

Tom
