Short Shifter Install Help
I installed a short shifter along with a Wevo shift coupler. I went with the OEM short shifter kit to save a little coin as the Wevo was quite a bit more.
I was finally able to get out and drive to adjust it the coupler. My problem seems to be that in order to hit 5th gear I have to push into the gate. The same gate that is for reverse! When I adjust it to the far right without going into the gate (normal 5th) I can't get 1st. Is the adjustment that fine? Am I missing something? Thanks all! Ian |

The 5th gate is the same as reverse. You should push the spring to get into 5th. There is a lock out to make sure you don't pull back to reverse from 5th.
I have read that the short shift kit also shortens the side to side distance as well as the front to rear throw. You should seriously consider a Seine gate system, it will help prevent the 5th to 2nd money shift.
